The work placement requirement

To be awarded the qualification, you must complete at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the assessment requirements of the units of competency. Placement is where the specialised skills are actually evidenced — facilitating community participation and supporting a person with complex needs with real clients, not in simulation. Expect placement in the settings the qualification names: supported independent living, community access programs and day programs.
