The Assist Clients with Medication short course is a nationally recognised training unit (HLTHPS006) designed for individuals working in aged care, disability support, and community or healthcare settings. The course equips learners with the skills and knowledge required to safely assist clients with medication according to organisational policies and legal requirements.
• Blended learning – self-paced online theory combined with in-person practical assessment
• Face-to-face classroom – all training and assessment delivered in person
• Workplace delivery – on-site training for organisations and teams
• Online-only (non-accredited) – theory-based awareness training only
On successful completion of assessment, participants receive a Statement of Attainment for HLTHPS006 Assist Clients with Medication. This unit is nationally recognised across Australia.
The duration of the course depends on the delivery mode:
• Blended delivery (online theory + face-to-face practical):
approximately 3–6 hours total
• Face-to-face classroom delivery: 3–6 hours total
• Online-only (non-accredited awareness): approximately 2–3 hours
